いんやく りお Rio Inyaku
沖縄音楽クリエイター。缶から三線奏者。自作音源に三線の響きを融合した沖縄音楽を創出している。インドネシアのエイサー団体に楽曲を提供、中国のエイサー団体とコラボレーションを行うなど、海外と積極的に文化交流を行っている。国内外のライブに出演。2001年東京生まれ。2011年沖縄移住。沖縄県立芸術大学音楽学部琉球芸能専攻(2020-)

Rio Inyaku
Okinawan music creator, kankara sanshin (Can-based Sanshin)* player, and best-selling poet. Fusing the sound of sanshin with his original sound sources, he creates new Okinawan music. He is actively engaged in cultural exchange with overseas, such as providing music to an Indonesian eisa group and collaborating with a Chinese eisa group. He has performed in many cities, in and out of Japan, including big stages. Born in 2001 in Tokyo and moved to Okinawa in 2011. 2020-current; Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts, Faculty of Music; Ryukyuan Performing Art Major.

Literary Works: Rio’s first book of poetry “I Am Who I Was Meant to Be” (2012) is sold 130,000 copies in Japan. He also has his second book “This straight road blessed by the Great Spirit” (2015)
* Sanshin is a traditional Okinawanan musical instrument with three strings. Kankara sanshin is a handmade can-based sanshin which comforted Okinawan people in the aftermath of the battle in Okinawa in 1945.
